It isn't often that you can quickly add more control to your Mac without having to learn a new application. Sure, you can write a series of AppleScripts to help speed up your productivity, but that can be time-consuming. Enter Wapp Pro, a nifty control panel that gives Mac users more functions without having to learn new tricks.
Using a menu we're all familiar with, the Application menu in upper-right-hand corner, Wapp Pro simply adds submenus for your open apps. So, if you have three Web sites open in Netscape, and four documents open in Word, you can now go to the Application menu and select a specific document in your chosen app.
So you're only saving a few clicks, but the functionality doesn't stop there. You can also quit an application running in the background without bringing it to the foreground. Maybe you're working in Photoshop, and need to hide a distracting application in the background, but don't want to loose the open folder in the Finder. Simply head over to the Application menu, and hide the application without ever leaving Photoshop.
Another handy trick Wapp Pro can do with the Application menu is allow you to navigate your hard drive. But your hard drive has to be open for this to work, and you can only navigate through five levels using the Application menu.
Overall, it's a handy tool, and at the low, low price of $10, you really can't go wrong.
