If you can never have too much storage capacity, you might want to turn your attention to EZQuest's new Cobra+ 200GB hard disk drive. The new external drive operates at 7200RPM and uses FireWire to interface with the Mac.

The Cobra+ 200GB model is suited for music, broadcast, multimedia and film, according to the manufacturer. It's compatible with DigiDesign's Pro Tools software, as well. If 200GB isn't enough storage capacity, the Cobra+ comes in a stackable chassis and ships with Intech Hard Disk Speed Tools, RAID level 0 striping software.

The mechanism itself is housed in a light gray case that's metal-shielded, and its 7200RPM rotational speed enables it to burst transfer at up to 35MB/sec. The drive features an average seek time of 8.9 MS. The drive comes equipped with a universal auto-switching power supply, cable and software. It's compatible with Mac OS 8.6 and higher, and retails for US$439.
