Matias, a computer accessories company that makes such products as the Half Keyboard for Palm and Handspring handhelds, will announce its iPod Armor aluminum hard case for Apple's iPod today at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

Made from anodized aluminum, the case completely encases your iPod so it's totally protected, according to Vesna Vojnic, Matias' marketing manager. Open the lid and you have full access to all of the iPod's controls. Close it and you're ready to hi the road.

Matias has the iPod Armor on display in its booth (#3846) at MWSF. They've also partnered with DevDepot, the official Macworld Expo retail store, which is taking pre-orders on the show floor (booth #3761). iPod Armor fits all current iPod models and retails for US$49.95.
