Macworld today announced its Macworld Best of Show Awards, which acknowledge what the company's editorial staff feels are the most exciting hardware and software products announced at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.

Jim Dalrymple, Editor, Online of Macworld.com and MacCentral.com said that the products released at this week's event show the continued ingenuity and commitment of developers on the Mac. "Apple continues to innovate and lead the way for the personal computing industry," he said.

Eligible products needed to make their public debut at Macworld Expo or be recently introduced and generating excitement on the show floor. Editors had to see products in action, although some evaluations were based on beta versions or prototypes.
