Storage product maker Medea Corp. has announced a rebate program for people who buy its VideoRaid RTR or VideoRaid RTRX disk arrays at the same time as Pinnacle's CineWave Classic RT, RT Pro or HD video editing solutions. The program rewards buyers with up to US$400 cash back directly from Medea.

Both Medea's VideoRaid RTR/RTRX arrays and Pinnacle's CineWave systems support Jaguar, according to Medea. VideoRaid systems have been designed for animation, compositing, special effects and non-linear video editing.

The VideoRaid RTR and RTRX systems sports single or dual-channel Ultra160 SCSI interfaces, along with a modular architecture that enables users to replace disk drives, power supplies and RAID controllers in the field. Medea bills VideoRaid RTR/RTRX systems as "fail-safe," and assures users that the systems operate with no loss to data and at full performance when a component feels.

Pinnacle Systems' CineWave is a non-linear editing, motion tracking, paint and compositing system that bundles together the Targa Cine Engine with full versions of Final Cut Pro, Commotion Pro and Knoll Light Factory.
