Mac game developer Westlake Interactive works with many of the major players in Mac game publishing, and has for a while. The company's Project Status page is rife with details about their past, present and future works, and was recently updated with news about what the company is now and will be working on in the months to come.

Although not formally announced by Aspyr Media, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 is coming to the Mac (first noted by Macworld magazine in its January 2003 issue). Westlake is handling the conversion of the popular golf game, and said that it is at Beta status. Aspyr itself hopes to ship the golf simulator sometime in March. And if you've been tracking Westlake's project status page periodically, you'll recognize this game as "The Chosen One," a codename used before the project was officially unveiled -- a reference to Tiger Woods himself (a moniker laid upon Woods by his father, and the title of a biography).

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is another game coming soon from Aspyr, and Westlake reports that game is in final candidate. It'll run both on Mac OS X and older versions of Mac OS, and is expected to hit store shelves in February.

The last surefire Westlake project coming from Aspyr is the recently-announced Medal of Honor: Spearhead, an add-on expansion pack for the enormously popular World War II-based 3D shooter Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The expansion pack is presently in early development, and Aspyr hopes to see it ship in May.

Also in beta is Dungeon Siege, the continuous-scrolling action/role playing adventure game that will be published by Destineer's Bold label once it's complete. The Mac conversion of Dungeon Siege had its official public debut this month at Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif., where showgoers were able to get their hands on the game at Bold's booth. It'll be coming for Mac OS X only.

Another Bold game Westlake is working on is a Mac conversion of Halo: Combat Evolved, the hit Xbox action game that was, in a previous incarnation, originally meant for the Mac and Windows. Westlake said that's in "Prototype" stage, an important development milestone that precedes the game's playable status. Bold hopes to ship the game almost concurrently with its PC counterpart's release, expected later in 2003.

Two new "secret" projects have also been added to Westlake's list -- the cryptically named "Zoot Suit" and "Cellar." Both projects are listed as in early development, and the publisher has not yet been identified. Westlake often attributes names to its secret projects that are, in some way, related to the titles themselves, so put on your thinking caps and let us know what these projects may be!
