Mac game publisher Aspyr Media has offered up details on its forthcoming release of the Mac conversion of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. First unveiled to Mac gamers who attended Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco earlier this month, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is due out in February. The game is now available for pre-order on Aspyr's Web site.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets follows the story and events in the second book of J.K. Rowling's enormously popular series of children's novels, as well as the recently released motion picture.
At its core, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a 3D, third-person action game. You control Harry as he and his friends explore the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Players take the Weasley's flying car to Hogwarts, face the horrible Whomping Willow, explore the Forbidden Forest, fly a magic broom in Quidditch, the fast-paced arena sport of witches and wizards, overcome foes like Aragog the giant spider and the deadly basilisk, and much more.
And while there is some violent content in the game, it's rated E for Everyone by the ESRB, so it's safe for the whole family to play.
Preliminary system requirements call for Mac OS 9.1 or later, including Mac OS X 10.1 or later; a G3/350 or faster; 128MB RAM (256MB for OS X); and ATI Rage 128 or better graphics acceleration with at least 16MB VRAM.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will carry a suggested retail price of US$39.95 when it's released next month.
