Eduventures, an independent research firm focused on learning markets, has published the 2003 edition of "The Eduventures 100: Leading Businesses Transforming the Education Economy." The report is a resource that provides a year-end assessment of "leading pre-K-12, post-secondary and corporate training businesses that demonstrated market leadership in 2002 and that Eduventures expects will continue to drive industry success through 2003."

Despite eroding sales in the education sector, Apple is among the firms listed in the report. The company is working to revitalize its education sales by, among other things, holding seminars dubbed ' School Night at the Apple Store ' and offering a special iLife-Keynote bundle for educators.

In addition to highlighting data for each company, such as financial performance, key partnerships and business highlights, "The Eduventures 100" provides a brief look at the past, present and future experiences of companies formerly and/or currently recognized as Eduventures 100 selections.

Companies highlighted in The Eduventures 100 have distinguished themselves by establishing and maintaining leadership positions over the past year, according to Jim McVety, Eduventures' senior analyst and lead author of the work.

"We expect them to continue to transform the education industry for the foreseeable future," he added.
