Samsung's Cybermax: The Ultimate Digital Gadget?

Ever wish your camera could play music? Samsung
( www.simplyamazing.com ) is betting that you have -- and if you haven't, that you won't be able to resist the idea once you hear about it.

Last week the company announced the Cybermax 35 MP3, a digital camera and MP3 player in one, as one in a series of new digital-imaging products Samsung will be rolling out this spring. The compact unit features a 640 X 480 resolution camera that can also be used for Internet videoconferencing.

The product has 2 MB of memory built in, and a Compact Flash memory slot, and a USB interface. It will cost $290.

Samsung also announced the Cybermax 35, which is essentially the same camera without the MP3 player and without the Compact Flash card. It will cost $199.

The company has also expanded their Digimax line of digital cameras with the Digimax 130Z and the Digimax 210SE. The 130Z features a 1.3 Megapixel CCD, Compact Flash compatibility, and videoconferencing support. It will sell for $599. The 210SE offers 2.1 megapixels and optics from Schneider-Kreuznach, which Samsung claims produces superior lenses. The camera will cost $1,020.
