Suitcase 9

At a Glance
  • Extensis Suitcase 9

Extensis Suitcase's user interface has never been one of its strong points -- until now. The revamped interface in Suitcase 9.0.1 makes it easier to add, view, sort, and activate font sets. A new Unified window lets you view and sort fonts easily, either alphabetically or by name, foundry, or suitcase. The window can also be tailored to alternately hide or show sets, fonts, and previews singly or in concert.

Suitcase 9 can activate fonts individually. You create and load new font sets via menu commands or by dragging and dropping. As with version 8, you also get Suitcase XT, an XTension for QuarkXPress.

(Note: Macworld's parent company, Mac Publishing L.L.C., is an investor in Extensis's parent company.)
