Callisto Corp. today released Mac versions of its Photo Viewer and Photo E-mailer applications. The two applications join an earlier Callisto Mac-compatible release, PhotoParade, as a trio of applications designed to enable consumers to more easily share digital imagery such as digital camera photos or scans with each other.

Photo Viewer provides browsing functions for users who have accumulated JPEG-format images from digital cameras or scanners. Users can browse the photo files in a folder, display them at full size, rotate them, turn photos into a desktop background, view photo metadata including data and time take, shutter speed, aperture and resolution (if available), and rename and delete photos.

Photo E-mailer simplifies the process of sending photos with e-mail. Users select a digital photo file, enter a recipient's e-mail address and click send. Recipients receive an e-mail message with a link to a Web page displaying the photo. The software automatically adjusts the size of the photo to minimize transfer time.

Photo Viewer and Photo E-mailer are available for purchase and download from the PhotoParade Web site. Each application costs US$12.99. The applications run on Mac OS 8.6 and up, including Mac OS X's Classic environment.
