Belkin has no plans for Mac support (traditional or X operating systems) for its USB Direct Connect, a USB sharing product. However, Belkin Technical Support said they would consider putting the suggestion in to product management.
The USB Direct Connect is targeted to those using a 56K modem to play a multiplayer game. With this setup, you're not getting state-of-the-art refresh rates and game play. Belkin says the Direct Connect lets you play multiplayer games at speeds up to 150 times faster than a 56K modem.
The product currently lets you network Windows systems through an available USB port and instantly share files, drivers and printers, and play games. Laptops can also be connected.
If you're interested in Mac support for the product, drop Belkin an e-mail.
