Many events have been canceled or postponed over the past week, but Seybold Seminars will go on as scheduled. Seybold Seminars President Gene Gable says it's the proper response.

"We believe that the proper response from the Seybold community is to once again demonstrate the vitality of our industry and the contribution it makes to the global economy," said Gable. "Accordingly, we are enthusiastically moving ahead with plans for our event."

Gable also had a message for the victims of last week's attack. "We at Key3Media Group and Seybold Seminars are deeply saddened by the recent events, and our sympathy goes out to everyone touched by these tragedies."

Apple's Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller will deliver a keynote address at Seybold with a satellite introduction from Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Bruce Chizen, president and CEO Adobe Systems Inc.; Dick Brass, vice president Microsoft Corp.; and many others join Schiller as speakers at this year's event.

Seybold will be held September 24-28 in San Francisco.
