Epson has introduced a new double-sided matte paper targeted at pros and amateurs who need to output high-quality inkjet graphics in a two-sided format. The new 47lb. weight paper sports a highly opaque, flat matte finish with lightfast coating embedded on both sides.

Epson said that applications for the new paper include photography, double-sided business newsletters, brochures and more. Assistant product manager Paul Lukacs said there's a considerable market for robust double-sided paper. "Epson has always focused on the strict standards of image quality. Now the ability to offer our customers the versatility of two-sided printing adds a new dimension in both professional looking output and value," said Lukacs.

The paper is fully compatible with Epson's line of desktop printers and its higher end professional models, too.

Expect to see Epson's Double-Sided Matte Paper hit stores in mid-November. The paper will be sold in 20 sheet packages cut to letter size, for US$17.95
