Computer Systems Odessa (CS-Odessa) has updated ConceptDraw, its diagramming and drawing application to version 1.71, which sports a streamlined interface, PNG format support, improved EPS and EMF export and more shortcuts and menu commands.

ConceptDraw v1.71 runs on the traditional Mac operating system, Mac OS X and Windows. The update is free to registered users and a demo is available at the product Web site.

ConceptDraw comes in standard and professional versions. Version 1.71 of the former offers the aforementioned changes, as well as some bug fixes, according to MacTech magazine. For instance, the problems with EMF export and excessive processor loading under Mac OS X have been corrected. ConceptDraw Professional 1.71 has these improvements, as well as fixing the import problems with PowerPoint. Also, EPS export (fonts, fills, preview) and data exchange with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop have been improved.

ConceptDraw Standard is US$125 and ConceptDraw Professional costs $249. The apps are available in English, Spanish, Italian and French. A German version is due soon.
