As we reported on Nov. 7, MacLine, one of the biggest Mac resellers in the UK, has closed. However, Cancom has bought the assets of the company, according to Macworld UK .

Ten former members of staff have been taken on by Cancom, who claims that the business was "up and running" immediately with "no disruption to services at all."

"Cancom anticipates that the former AppleCentre Cambridge will re-open and continue to service the local Mac community -- including installation, maintenance and support services, the story added. All back-office operations -- including accounting, warehousing and administration -- will be covered from Cancom's head office in Guildford, Surrey," the story added.

Cancom managing director Max Wright said the company did have expansion plans. He told Macworld UK that their goal is " to become the No. 1 Apple Reseller in the U.K. -- in both size and quality of service."
