The North Coast Macintosh User Group will host a special guest at their Nov. 20 meeting: Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of worldwide marketing, who will be speaking on Mac OS X, the iPod and more. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel, Rohnert Park, in Santa Rosa, CA.

If you're in the region, you're invited to attend this special MUG appearance by a member of Apple's senior management team. The event is free and there's plenty of available parking, according to NCMUG. Go to their Web site for more info.

MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple's User Group Web page.
