Disney Interactive has unveiled Playhouse Disney's Rolie Polie Olie: The Search For Spot and Playhouse Disney's Stanley Tiger Tales, two new interactive learning CD-ROMs that are Mac compatible.

The new titles are based on Rolie Polie Olie and Stanley, two original animated series that air as part of Playhouse Disney, Disney Channel's programming block created especially for preschoolers. Playhouse Disney's Rolie Polie Olie: The Search For Spot and Playhouse Disney's Stanley Tiger Tales CD-ROMs are early-learning adventures designed to encourage children to explore while they develop in areas beyond verbal and quantitative skills, such as memorizing ABCs or learning to count.

Activities on both CD-ROMs allow children to examine life, social and family issues, household chores and family relationships, according to Disney. As players explore these interactive households, natural inquisitiveness is rewarded with entertaining and educational "clickables," small animations that are triggered by clicking within specific parts of the background.

Rolie Polie Olie: The Search For Spot CD-ROM offers exercises in music, colors, mapping and spatial skills, and more. Stanley Tiger Tales contains pictures, facts and activities about animals and allows players to track sticker collections. In addition, it contains lots of printable activities like coloring pictures, connect the dots, hidden pictures and mazes. Both titles are Mac compatible, although Disney did not give specific requirements; they have a suggested retail price of US$19.99.
