Computer Systems Odessa Corp. has announced the release of ConceptDraw Medical. It's a version of ConceptDraw Professional specifically tailored for illustrating, visualizing and demonstrating medical documents.

With ConceptDraw Medical, users can create medical flowcharts, diagrams, schemes and patterns. The software has been developed for laboratories, medical staff and clinicians, educators, students and others.

ConceptDraw Medical comes equipped with more than 120 libraries comprised of 3,000 objects. Tools used for dimensioning, alignment and object distribution are built in. The libraries contain more than 400 task-related objects, including different sets of images related to different medical topics -- Cardiovascular, Digestive, Endocrine, and so on. Users can create templates, export their documents to HTML, and perform other tasks. ConceptDraw Medical supports PICT, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG and other popular graphic formats.

System requirements call for Mac OS 8.6 or higher; PowerPC processor; 32MB RAM; 40MB available hard drive space. ConceptDraw Medical has been Carbonized for Mac OS X as well.

Available for US$249, ConceptDraw Medical is also available at a special academic price of $149. An upgrade for users of ConceptDraw Standard is also available. A demo version is available for download from the ConceptDraw Web site.
