iView Multimedia has announced the release of iView MediaPro 1.3.1. It's a media management, cataloging and slideshow tool that now supports CRW format. The new format support makes it possible for iView MediaPro users to catalog images in raw format for many Nikon, Canon and Olympus digital cameras.

Other changes in iView Media Pro 1.3.1 include:

  • Added support for Canon CRW files. Media view displays 1440 by 960 preview version only until Canon releases conversion libraries.
  • Improved PhotoCD support: rendering at 3072 by 2048 and importing of data fork IPTC annotations
  • Import annotations from PhotoDISC CD-ROMs
  • Scripts to perform lossless rotation on original files (OS X)
  • Added "php" as export HTML extension.
  • Improved support for font suitcases with multiple fonts. Added support for dfont files (OS X).
  • Improved voice recording feature
  • Improved PDF support on OS X. (added pdf convert to image).
  • Optimized for OSX version 10.1
  • Printing now supports setting the grid by size (e.g. print 5 by 3 inches etc).
  • Re-write of printing code for OS X.
  • The new version of iView MediaPro is offered as a free upgrade for registered users. To purchase a new license of iView MediaPro, the cost is US$50 for the digital download or $90 for the physical version. You can also download a trial version if you'd like to kick the tires before you buy it.
