If you're heading to Macworld San Francisco this coming January and are interested in what a few well-known Mac pundits think about the future of our platform, you may want to set some time aside on Wednesday, January 9 at 9:30 a.m. IDG World Expo announced today a feature presentation called "This ain't your parents' Mac: The Present and Future of the Mac Platform."

Moderated by Macworld magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Rick LePage, the presentation will feature an overview of the Mac platform today and where it's heading in the future. Joining LePage on stage will be Tim Bajarin, president of Creative Strategies Inc. and authors David Pogue and Bob LeVitus.

"In this feature presentation, Macworld attendees will have the chance to hear about the Mac's future directly from the mouths of today's leading industry experts," said Darrell Baker, vice president of event services, IDG World Expo. "As the largest and most comprehensive gathering of the Mac community, Macworld Conference & Expo is an obvious forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas about anything and everything Macintosh. Mac enthusiasts at this year's event will be able to mingle with fellow users as well as respected industry leaders to learn what's ahead for the Mac."

The panel will look at Apple's line of products including hardware and software and will learn why the panel feels the Mac platform will continue to drive innovation and remain the platform of choice for creative professionals, Web professionals, educators and consumers.

The feature presentation is open to all Platinum Pass, Super Pass, Pro Conference, Users Conference, Power Tools Conference, Workshop and Media badge holders.

Macworld Conference & Expo will take place at San Francisco's Moscone Center, January 7-11, 2002. Conferences begin on January 7, with the expo floor opening on January 8. To register for Macworld Conference & Expo, go to the conference Web site.
