Trinfinity Software today announced the release of Golden Key 1.0.1. Formerly known as Skeleton Key, Golden Key unlocks or locks multiple files at once using Drag and Drop.

The freeware utility has been developed to solve the dilemma of needing to go to the Get Info window of each file you need unlocked. Golden Key enables you to select a group of files or a folder and lock or unlock all of the files simultaneously. Golden Key was developed using REAL Software's REALbasic programming environment.

The update to Golden Key corrects a bug that caused only the first file of a group of files dropped on Golden Key to be changed. This problem did not occur with folders, only with groups fo files.

"As an added bonus, Golden Key comes with a set of icons to match the color of your Macintosh," noted the developer.

The software requires Mac OS 8.0 or later. A Carbon version for Mac OS 8.6 - Mac OS X is also available.
