Copies of MacSoft's latest Mac game release, Monopoly Casino, are now in circulation. The new game offers casino-style gameplay using themes borrowed from the classic board game, Monopoly.
Based on the release first offered by Hasbro Interactive for the PC, Monopoly Casino was developed for the Mac by Westlake Interactive. Westlake announced early last month that Monopoly Casino had gone gold master, and it's now found its way to the shelves of retailers and e-tailers nationwide.
Forty different games are included with Monopoly Casino, including standard casino favorites like slots, blackjack, poker, keno, roulette and craps. MacSoft says the games sport over 200 separate variations. You'll also find Monopoly-licensed games that are actually in casinos now, like Reel Estate, Once Around and Chairman of the Board.
Of course, each game sports a special Monopoly-style flair with graphics and themes based on the popular board game. Monopoly Casino sports snazzy 3D graphics and special effects, too. Multiplayer gaming is also supported -- you can pit your skills against other folks at the same computer and over the Internet. Computer-controlled players are also ready to challenge you.
Monopoly Casino calls for a PowerPC-equipped Mac operating at 180MHz or faster; 32MB RAM; Mac OS 8.1 or higher; 250MB available HD space; Monitor with support for 800x600 resolution at thousands of colors; CD-ROM drive; and QuickTime 4.0 or later. The game carries a suggested retail price of US$29.99.
