Version 2.0 of the Anark Studio multimedia authoring software is now available from Anark Corp.. The update offers a range of content delivery options in addition to new productivity features. It also adds Mac OS X compatibility.

Anark Studio is a multimedia authoring tool designed for users who want to present product demonstrations, CD-ROM based entertainment, kiosks, screensavers, full-blown applications, and Web content. It supports compositing and rendering capabilities, video mapping on 3D objects, animated materials and textures, the ability to blend 2D and 3D content, JavaScript support, and more.

Version 2.0 features a new cross-platform Anark Player and Anark Client for Mac OS X and Windows systems. The update also boasts new timeline features such as scalability and filters, as well as a redesigned inspector palette and a new component feature.

With the update, Anark Studio projects can be delivered as standalone, interactive 3D screensavers. Additionally, standalone CD-ROM/DVD-ROM's can be created with the Projector Exporter.

Anark Client 2 features a new rendering engine that takes advantage of OpenGL, which makes it more compatible with the majority of available graphics cards . The visual effects of Anark Studio can now be used for video projects with the new "export to video" feature. Version 2's composition environment and integrated 3D features are enhanced with new advanced blend modes and animation-based behaviors that let you preview your work in real-time before rendering.

Anark Studio 2 costs US$995; upgrading from previous versions costs $149. Student pricing are also available.
