Last week MacCentral brought readers the news that Difusi Corp. had cut the price of its Quicksilver Speaker Grilles -- removable grilles designed to cover the open speaker ports of Power Mac G4 "Quicksilver" systems -- in an attempt to clear out stock. Now Difusi says that it's getting out of the speaker grille business all together.

Difusi Corp. is selling off its remaining inventory of iMac and Pro Speaker Grilles. Customers can buy the "Clear" pair for US$6.95 or spend $9.95 on the "Chrome" model.

Difusi CEO Michael Wright explained that his company is getting ready to introduce a new line of products and has elected to put the speaker grille line to rest all together, now that Apple is making its own grilles.
