Avondale Media announced Monday plans to reschedule its iDay 2003 event for Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo, coming to New York City's Javits Center next month.

iDay 2003 is a full-day seminar dedicated to Apple's iLife product suite -- iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD -- as well as third-party products related to iLife applications. The event offers a look at concepts, tools and techniques in digital media, along with specific focuses on digital photography and videography. Avondale Media editorial director Jim Heid is the host, as well as the author of "The Macintosh iLife," a book and DVD hybrid.

The event had originally been scheduled for last week, but end-of-the-school-year commitments bit into many educators' and students' plans, according to Avondale Media President Steve Broback. "We're thrilled to be able to partner with IDG to bring iDay to New York at the perfect time andplace -- the Macworld CreativePro Conference and Expo at The Javits Center."

iDay 2003 costs US$99, and nets you a 20 percent discount on Macworld CreativePro Conference packages. You'll also get a full version of Econ Technologies' Portraits & Prints utility, and you'll be eligible for prize drawings that take place throughout the day, inclduing two Epson printers, instruction DVDs, books and more.
