Approximately 1,000 Flash-ers are expected to gather at the Flashforward conference and Flash Film Festival in New York City on July 9-11.
Apple is one of the sponsors of the event, which spotlights Macromedia Flash, the technology for creating vector-based Web graphics, motion, sound, video and interactivity. Flashforward 2003 will offer Flash experts showcasing their work in four half-day workshops, 22 seminars, 20 question and answer sessions, 17 "Ask the Experts" sessions, and 11 Technology Showcase sessions.
There will also be a Flash technology exhibition area and a Flash Authors Book Signing Reception and Networking Party. Additionally, the Flash Film Festival on July 10 will showcase 60 Flash projects and awards winners in 16 categories, including best animation, motion graphics, interactivity, art, application, education, commerce, experimental, game, cartoon, story, technical merit, 3D, typography, and the People's Choice award. The finalists' work is now online at the conference Web site.
