Mac game publisher Aspyr Media on Friday released a demo version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, their Mac conversion of the popular golf game. The full version of the game is also shipping today, so you should expect to see it on store shelves nationwide within the next few days.
In Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, you can play a dozen different real-world PGA Tour golf courses including Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass, the Royal Birkdale Golf Club, and more. You can also take the persona of Tiger Woods himself, or 14 other PGA Tour pros like Ty Tryon, Charles Howell III, Notah Begay III and more. Commentators David Feherty and Bill Macatee join the fray, as well, or you can play as male and female amateurs.
New to this version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour -- its Mac debut -- is a Career Mode that lets you try to earn winnings to compete in tougher and tougher competitions. You can create your own custom golfer, too. The game also features advanced rendering effects like growing grass, weather effects and more.
The 60MB demo version, now available for download from Macgamefiles.com, allows you to play holes 10-13 at the Sahalee Country Club.
System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later or Mac OS 9.1 or later; 128MB RAM (256MB under OS X); and a 3D graphics accelerator with at least 16MB VRAM.
