SiPix has announced the StyleCam DV100, a pocket-sized digital camera that can has capture capability providing AVI video with sizes up to 640 x 480 at eight frames per second and still pictures at up to 1.3 megapixels. It connects to a Mac via USB and works on systems running Mac OS X 10.2.6.

You can preview video on the 1.6-inch color LCD screen or connect it via an AV cable to a TV. The StyleCam DV10, due next month at a manufacturers suggested retail price of US$129, features a 2X digital zoom and 8MB of flash memory.

Video can also be captured at a resolution of 320 x 240 and 160 x 120 at 15 fps. In addition to its flash memory, the StyleCam DV100 includes a secure digital slot for memory expansion of up to 256MB. The digital camera comes with a USB cable, AV cable, hand strap, quick start guide, and two AA batteries.
