MindVision Software has updated its FileStorm and FileStorm Pro disk image utilities to version 1.6.

FileStorm and FileStorm Pro are tools designed to package and deliver Mac OS X software products. They make it possible to create installers and disk images for electronic distribution of software. The regular version lets you create disk images for files and software. FileStorm Pro includes all the features of the regular edition, plus it has the ability to create installers for your software.

Version 1.6 of the regular and pro versions now provide full support for Unicode file names when building disk images. Building images now executes compiled AppleScripts, resulting in "significantly faster" build times, according to MindVision. The utilities will now create a log folder if one doesn't exist when writing out installer log file

The updates are free to registered users. For new users, the cost is US$19.95 for FileStorm and $79.95 for FileStorm Pro.
