GeeThree.com has noted that its Stealth Serial Port is now available in a configuration that works with Apple's Power Mac G5. The interface is designed to bridge compatibility between Apple's newest pro desktop machine and legacy peripherals.
The Stealth Serial Port offers a "native" DIN-8-based serial port for G5s. The card installs in the internal modem slot of the G5, and enables such systems to support MIDI interfaces, serial tape decks, external modems and other devices that utilize serial interfaces.
Available now, the G5 Stealth Serial Port costs US$49.95.
GeeThree.com also offers Stealth Serial Ports for blue and white Power Mac G3s, Power Mac G4s and iMac Rev. A through D models.
