The LL-T19D1-H from Sharp may be awkwardly named, but it reproduces accurate color and clean text, and takes either digital or analog connections.

The LL-T19D1-H has a thin light beige bezel. (A black version of the display, the LL-T19D1-B, is also available.) It uses a stiff, hinged design that allows you to tilt it forward and back as well as up and down a couple of inches. Its built-in power supply means you won’t have to use an external power brick.

The display itself is impressive. Text is very legible, even at small point sizes, and colors display accurately. In fact, the Sharp performed about as well as the winner of our recent roundup of 17-19-inch LCDs, the NEC MultiSync 1960Nxi (   , October 2004 ), though the colors weren’t quite as saturated. We also noticed that color shifts popped up when viewed from even slightly left or right of center.

Macworld’s Buying Advice
