Miglia Technology on Friday announced the MediaBank Solo, an external hard disk drive that’s Mac and PC-compatible. The drive is equipped with two FireWire 400 ports and a USB 2.0 port, and is available in capacities up to 300GB.

The MediaBank Solo uses an aluminum chassis, and works fanlessly, so it’s quiet. In addition to a $199 160GB and $269 300GB model, Miglia is offering a do-it-yourself version that ships without a hard drive installed for $99.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.5 or later and FireWire or USB 2.0 connectivity.
