Sakar International has taken the wraps off its SoundFX Sound View, a new portable device that magnifies the image on a video iPod’s screen up to 300 percent. It’ll cost $29.99 and it’s coming in the first calendar quarter of 2006.

The SoundFX Sound View features built-in stereo speakers, as well. Users slide in the magnifier box to make the video iPod’s screen appear larger, but it’s also removable, so you can view the iPod unobstructed if you prefer. The base of the device swivels and adjusts.

Powered by 4 AAA batteries, the SoundFX Sound View also comes with an AC adapter. The unit can operate for up to 12 hours on the 4 AAA’s, according to Sakar.

Sakar’s Web site had not been updated with information about the SoundFX Sound View as Playlist posted this article.
