Techné Media released Pixound Jam Studio, an application designed to translate RGB color data into music, allowing users to play pictures and videos by moving a cursor over them.

Music can be controlled in any key and scale (with over 60 to choose from), at any tempo and using any instrument. Pixound Jam Studio also includes Groovology Desktop which watches as users switch between applications and windows, and remixes grooves accordingly, creating a synchronized soundtrack to user actions. The software can also run from live video—including the iSight—allowing live motion to generate music. The software can also be used create background music and grooves.

Techné Media (Booth #2207) is offering the Jam Studio package, which includes Pixound, the Groovology Desktop and a pro MIDI license for $249, or a version of Pixound without the MIDI license for $99.
