Griffin Technology announced SmartShare, a headphone/audio splitter designed for the iPod, as well as other portable devices with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The device splits audio in order to route it to two sets of headphones. Griffin integrated a slim volume control slider into each of SmartShare’s output jacks, allowing each listener to set the volume individually.

The Griffin SmartShare is priced at $19.99; it is scheduled to begin shipping in February.
