MaxUpgrades has announced MaxConnect PCI Bay, a new internal storage expansion assembly for Power Mac G5s that enables you to add two additional hard disk drives in the PCI bay. It costs $79 for a one-disk or $119 for a two-disk configuration.

The MaxConnect PCI Bay features an aluminum construction and is available in PCI-X and PCI Extreme versions, to fit older or newer Power Mac G5 systems. Hard disk drives are bolted in place and the system slides into place in an available PCI slot.

Included with the MaxConnect PCI Bay is a SATA power cable and SATA data cables, cooling fan, mounting screws and hex keys for installation.
