Newer Technology on Thursday introduced a new NuPower iBook replacement battery that provides 45.5 Watt Hours of charge — 31 percent more runtime capacity than Apple’s own factory-shipped batteries, according to the company. The new batteries cost $99.95.
The replacement battery is designed to fit into Apple’s G3 and G4-equipped 12-inch iBook models. It costs $20 less than the 40 Watt Hour model it replaced. Newer also sells a 53 Watt Hour battery for $119.99, also a $20 drop.
