Aspyr Media on monday announced plans to publish its third expansion pack for the popular game The Sims 2. The Sims 2: Open for Business will be released in September, according to the company, and will cost $34.99.
The Sims 2 is the enormously popular strategy and simulation game in which you take control of simulated people — Sims. You help guide them through life, finding them a place to live, decorating it, finding them the right job, helping them make friends and establish a family, and help them achieve their life’s aspirations, whether it’s financial and professional success, a large and loving family, popularity or more.
Aspyr Media has already developed and published Mac conversion of the original The Sims 2 and two expansion packs, The Sims 2: Nightlife and The Sims 2: University. Both expansion packs extend the capabilities of the original game, and all three have been updated with Universal Binary support for Intel Macs.
In The Sims 2: Open for Business, you get to explore your entrepreneurial side as you help your Sims establish any kind of business, from clothing boutiques to beauty salons, floral shops, electronics retailers or restaurants. You’ll help them hire and fire staff, developer their talents as craftsmen and help them along their way to becoming captains of industry.
Aspyr’s Web site had not been updated with information about The Sims 2: Open for Business as Macworld posted this article. The company said the expansion pack will soon be available for pre-order.
