The Nike+iPod Sport Kit enables users of iPod nanos to record running times and other information using specially equipped shoes made by Nike. SwitchEasy Limited has developed the RunAway AnyShoe Adapter for runniers who would prefer to use other company’s shoes. It costs $7.99.

The RunAway twists and locks in place on top of your running shoes. It’s made of ABS plastic and polycarbonate and is weather resistant. A button on its back deactivates the sensor. The device also features a stowaway compartment to hold the Nike+iPod Sport Kit’s receiver when it’s not being used.

The RunAway is available in six colors: White, black, red, orange, pastel blue and pink. SwitchEasy also makes available “SwitchEasy Tips” — three colored caps that go on top of the RunAway to color-coordinate. They’re available for $3.99.
