iPod accessory maker Marware has announced new versions of its Sportsuit Sprinter and SportGrip cases designed for Apple’s second-generation iPod nano. These new cases are specifically created to complement the iPod nano (Product Red) Special Edition. The Sportsuit Sprinter and Sport Grip cost $24.95 and $9.95 respectively.
Although functionally identical to the other second-generation iPod nano models, the Product (Red) models are part of a multi-company initiative to raise money for AIDS research and education in Africa — Apple is dedication a portion of each iPod nano (Product) Red Special Edition sales to the Global Fund.
The Sportsuit Sprinter is a neoprene-clad armband holder for the iPod nano; it’s designed for runners, active walkers and others looking for a comfortable way to hold their nano. It includes an adjustable hand strap and Velcro closure; a removable “mini clip” lets you use Marware’s “Multidapt” interchangeable clip system. It comes in black with red accents to match the red color of the special edition iPod nano.
The Sport Grip is a translucent silicone case molded in red to match the iPod. It includes a clear plastic screen protector, and provides access to the headphone, dock connector and hold switch.
