Handstands.com on Monday announced The Core, a $4.99 apparatus used to keep your iPod’s excess earbud cable wrapped safely away.

The Core — which looks a bit like the core of an apple — features wide ends with channels you insert your excess cable into. You wrap the cable around the Core’s center, then lock it securely in place using another channel at the other end.

Handstands.com is offering a limited-time chance to win a free Core on its Web site. They will also be available for $12.99 for a three-pack.
