Apple has posted Digital Camera RAW Support Update 1.0.1 in PowerPC and Universal binary versions. The update is available for download from Apple’s Web site.

Tiger includes support for digital cameras and image file formats. Apple’s Aperture, Preview and iPhoto applications all support the RAW digital file format used by some more robust digital cameras.

The 1.0.1 update posted by Apple improves RAW file format compatibility for Canon Digital Rebel XTi, 400D and Kiss X Digital camera models, the Nikon D80 and Pentax *ist DS camera.

Also addressed in this update is handling of large Canon RAW files (.CRW), Adobe Digital Negative format (.DNG) compatibility on Intel-based Macs, and a fix for lines that sometimes appear on images exported from Aperture.
