A new public beta release of the Mac OS X personal finance software Cha-Ching is available for download — version 0.3 is now in circulation. Cha-Ching costs $14.95 to register during the beta; afterwards it will cost $24.95.

Cha-Ching provides a tag-based database to let you search for incoming and outgoing transactions; you can organize pending transactions, keep track of money you own utility companies or loans you’ve made to others, and more. Cha-Ching works with iCal to provide payment scheduling, enables you to keep a photo inventory of purchased items for insurance and tax purposes, and more.

New in the 0.3 release is support for .Mac Backup and Revert functions. Also new in this released are enhancements to the auto-completion feature, the ability to attach any files including PDFs, images and Word documents, incremental payment support for pending transactions, budget creation, account management, password protection on launch and more.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4; Cha-Ching is a Universal binary.
