Advenio released MacGourmet 2 today, a major upgrade to the program designed to help Mac cooks organize their recipes and wine and cooking notes. MacGourmet lets users create and edit recipes, wine notes and cooking notes, browse collections, and build custom lists for categories like appetizers or desserts.
The new version features a redesigned interface, faster .Mac publishing support using the .Mac SDK, new publishing themes, a Library Browser that lets you edit database information, Spotlight support, metric conversion, blog posting, and more.
Version 2 is a free upgrade for current registered MacGourmet users and can be purchased online for $24.95. Current version 1 may also purchase a voluntary “upgrade” for $10 or $15 that includes an upgrade package download of extra recipes, .Mac and display themes, and a new MacGourmet T-shirt. Buying an upgrade package before the end of January will enter purchasers into a drawing for one of 2 iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Editions.
