So, this device destroys all the information on your DVD or CD in about six minutes. That's what it does. That's all it does. Let's have a little chat, Plextor. First of all: why do we need this? Second, and more importantly: why does it cost over $200? Oh wait, it has a laser . And we all know lasers = expensive. Finally: what the hell kind of name is PLEXERASER? I realize it's descriptive but it's kind of on the nose , you know?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but why not simply shred your sensitive CDs? We've even covered a nice mini USB-powered shredder. It does the same job in probably less than a minute and it costs only around $30. No lasers required. There, I just saved you $170.
