Drive Alert Master
Driving can be dangerous. As my instructor was fond of reminding us, we were in control of two tons of glass and steel. Of course, to a 16 year-old, the reponse that's going to elicit is less along the lines of "Wow, I'd better be cautious" and more along the lines of "Awesoooomme." An while talking on your cellphone has been said to be one of the most dangerous things you can do while driving, good old-fashioned fatigue claims its fair share of victims.

Thus we have the the $15 Drive Alert Master. It looks like a Bluetooth headset that you just hook over your ear, only instead of letting you talk on your phone, the system keeps track of the tilt of your head. Should the angle exceed the specified danger limit, it'll emit a sharp beep that will either cause you to return to alertness immediately, or scare the bejeezus out of you as you veer into a guard rail.

It's an interesting idea, but it's hardly kinkless. What if you're just stretching your neck by tilting it one direction. Or what happens if as your head drowses to one side, the earpiece falls off. For my part, I'll stick with the time-honored tactic of having an inflatable companion to talk to.
