Motorola V195
I always wondered about that expression. How many times have you bought "hotcakes," really ? Do we see hotcake emporia left and right on Main Street, USA? Is there some sort of Hotcakes Anonymous for those who have trouble with their unbridled love? And why, pray tell, does my spellcheck not even recognize "hotcakes?"

Linguistic meanderings aside, Motorola has finally released a phone that I might term a "no-brainer." The V195 is a clamshell with an external display, Bluetooth, speakerphone, and IM support. That's it. No camera, no mobile web browsing, etc. Simple . This, ladies and gentlemen, is the perfect phone for my dad. And the "my dads" of the world. It goes for $40, and my only regret is that it's a T-Mobile phone. Still, in a family plan it might not be too bad.

I hope this continues as a trend: I would like it to be possible to buy a phone that, say, doesn't have a camera in it if I really don't need one, but that's tough nowadays. Kudos, Moto, and keep up the good work.
