It's not just Nintendo fanboys that are snapping up yesterday's early release of Nintendo's DS Lite. Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson), director of Xbox Live, snagged his own slick portable, camping out in front of a glass display case in a local chain store for nearly 10 minutes before he managed to get the last remaining box, which had been cleverly concealed beneath a stack of Electric Blue original DSs. Then, to rub it in, he proceeded to take pictures of it next to his custom Xbox 360 hard drive. Hmm.
I hope all of you who managed to get a DS Lite are enjoying your illicit goods. I haven't heard from Derik whether or not he managed to get one, but hopefully that's because he's deeply engrossed in a round of MarioKart DS. The rest of you will have to wait until the handheld actually comes out, 10 days from now. Just hold in there. It'll be all right.
