Toontrack Music announced on Thursday at the AES professional audio show, a new product for musicians. Drumtracker is a host independent, standalone, multitrack audio to MIDI converter software for sound replacement.

According to Toontrack, Drumtracker gives you manual control over tracking and exporting and lets you select which part or parts of a drum track that you want to export, down each single hit. The triggering points are graphically represented and you can set maximum and minimum velocity and threshold values for each instrument and articulation.

All drums can be exported to one MIDI file or separate files — whichever suits your needs.

Drumtracker will be available in January 2008 — pricing was not announced.
